Data collection

Sound Cue does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. The app does not use accounts, advertising, tracking, analytics, or third-party data-collection SDKs.

Data stored on your device

Workout and group names, workout configurations, sound cues, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. The app also keeps local state for features such as purchase status and review prompts. Sound Cue does not send this information to Octopus Software LLC or an app-operated server.

You can remove saved workouts within the app. A previous version of your library may be kept locally to recover from a storage problem. Deleting Sound Cue removes its locally stored app data from that device.

Device backups may include app data, depending on your backup settings. These backups are managed separately from the app; see Apple’s backup documentation.

In-app purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Sound Cue receives confirmation that an upgrade was purchased, but it does not receive or store your payment information. Apple’s handling of purchase information is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.

Support requests

If you open a support request, the information you choose to provide is used only to understand and respond to that request. Requests are posted publicly in our GitHub support repository and require a GitHub account. This is separate from Sound Cue, which does not require a login. Do not include personal, payment, health, or other sensitive information.

Support is provided through GitHub, which processes information under the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

This website

These Sound Cue support and privacy pages are hosted on getsoundcue.app using Cloudflare. We do not add advertising or analytics scripts to these pages. Cloudflare may process technical information, such as IP addresses and request data, to deliver and secure the site, as described in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

If Sound Cue’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practices take effect. The date at the top of this policy identifies the latest revision.
