Sound Cue is a custom interval timer app for iPhone. Build every phase, place spoken or beep cues exactly where you need them, and keep moving without watching the clock.

Interval timer essentials
A closer look at Sound Cue.
What to know when choosing an interval timer app for your workouts.
01
What makes Sound Cue different from a standard interval timer app?
Most timers alert you only when a phase ends. Sound Cue lets you place up to five spoken countdown or beep sequences throughout each phase, giving you time to prepare without watching the screen.
02
Which interval workouts can I build?
Set Get Ready, Work, Rest, and Between Sets independently for HIIT, Tabata, boxing rounds, circuits, climbing sessions, mobility, cardio, and other interval training.
03
Does the timer work with music and a locked screen?
Yes. An active workout is designed to keep timing and play audio when you lock your iPhone or move Sound Cue to the background. Cues play alongside other audio, and the optional Lower Other Audio setting briefly reduces music volume while cues play.
04
Does Sound Cue require an account or subscription?
No. The free library holds up to five saved workouts in total, including the starter workouts. An optional one-time purchase expands the limit to 100. There is no Sound Cue account or subscription.
